A Handful of Dust: The Witch Cycle Part 2 is a scenario supplement for the Delta Green setting of Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game. Written by Australian author and games designer David Conyers, it was published by Call of Cthulhu licensee Yog-Sothoth.com in 2003 [1].
Overview[]
“ | Deserts preserve secrets, and the dusty wastelands of New Mexico have buried many. Nearby the test site of the world's first atomic bomb, a centuries-old coven of witches has been resurrected, and Delta Green has been alerted to the emerging threat. Dispatched to the scene, the investigating agents are yet to learn that a far older radioactive horror may overshadow all their expectations. | „ | |
~ Publishers description [1] |
The story was originally written as a tournament game for the Melbourne, Australia tournament Conquest 1994, hosted by The Cthulhu Conglomerate. As this predated any mainstream release of Delta Green material (that setting being confined to fanzine releases in The Unspeakable Oath at the time) the original story was devoid of any references to the setting. When it was published in 2003 by Yog-Sothoth.com, the original plot - which involved the players taking part in an FBI investigation - was transplanted into a Delta Green background [2].
