This subject is written on a topic in the real world and reflects factual information. This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. Achtung! Cthulhu is a series of historical setting and scenario supplements originally designed for use with Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu horror roleplaying game. It was first published by third-party content provider Modiphius Entertainment after a successful Kickstarter campaign [1]; Modiphius have since seemingly cut tied with Call of Cthulhu and re-released the setting as a stand-alone roleplaying game.

The setting was launched with Sarah Newton's short Zero Point campaign books, Three Kings and Heroes of the Sea, in 2012 [1].

Premise[]

Achtung! Cthulhu tells the story of secret agents from various shadowy government organisations as they combat elements of the Cthulhu Mythos during the Second World War. These cults and monsters are often found employed by the various combatants in an attempt to swing the tide of war in their own favour. As a western publication, it is weighed heavily towards playing Allied agents battling against Axis secret projects, with the mythology of Nazi occultism featuring strongly in the narrative.
