Description[]

A woman in her early 30s, Adele Kramer is a marine biologist, formerly working at Dalhousie University, currently employed in the service of the Department of Extraordinary Phenomena, an agency which stands in opposition to "The Other": a catch-all term given to the forces of the Cthulhu Mythos.

After an encounter with an entity and its human thrall in the Canadian Arctic Circle on her first assignment for the agency, Adele was wounded: she later sported a bite scar across her cheek and was missing the ends of her left ring and pinky fingers.

Adele briefly possessed a wide range of extremely powerful psychic powers as a result of spending time in proximity to Azathoth, but saw this as more of a curse than a blessing. These abilities were later removed by the Outer God Yog-Sothoth as a reward for her service.

History[]

Adele participated in the investigation of a bizarre sea-creature at Gallou Cave with the assistance of law enforcement officer Joe Mills; after the subsequent appearance of its mother, she was recruited into the Department by a man named Harjit Singh.

Her first assignment was in the Canadian Arctic Circle, where she met Sergeant Pete Ivalu of the Canadian Army Rangers, the two of them confronting and defeating a minion of Cthulhu.

A second assignment whilst supposedly on an R&R period saw her encounter and destroy a captive Shoggoth.

A few weeks after her last assignment saw Kramer meet once again with Mills and Ivalu, and the three returned to Gallou Cove to investigate a cave uncovered since the town's closure. There, both of her companions were killed, and Adele's soul was dragged off by an avatar of Nyarlathotep to serve in the choir of Azathoth.

Adele later awoke from her coma with powerful abilities and the knowledge of how to defeat Great Cthulhu, who was on the verge of awakening due to the manipulations of Nyarlathotep. She, along with Harjit Singh, Malcolm Mayweather, and Charlene Hines, travelled to the rising city of R'lyeh in the South Pacific to stop the Great Old One; although successful in their mission, only Adele survived the encounter.
