Alex S. Johnson is an author, poet and editor who has produced a handful of works inspired by Howard Phillips Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos. These have appeared in collections such as James Ward Kirk Publishing's 2015 anthology Lovecraft after Dark [1] and Gavin Chappell's quarterly zine Lovecraftiana [2].
In 1987, Alex S. Johnson wrote the novel The Surreal Beauty Cafe (unpublished). In 2005, Alex S. Johnson published the novel Jason X: Death Moon (New Line Cinema/Black Flame Books) in collaboration with Hugo Award winning author Pat Cadigan,. In 2012, Alex S. Johnson published a dark fiction and poetry collection, The Death Jazz. 2023, Alex S. Johnson publsihed The Fall of the House of Kaimera and Other Stories, a chapbook. In 2025, Alex S. Johnsoni publshed Just One Fix: A Literary Salute to William S. Burroughs containng work by L.L. Soares, John Palisano, David J. Haskins, Alea Celeste Williams, Sandy DeLuca, Ellyn Maybe, Poppy Z.
