Amaterasu is part of the Shinto cosmology. She was first used by Chaosium in 2005 for its Call of Cthulhu role-playing game as an Elder God. However, it is stated that this classification should be taken loosely and used as a basis of comparison with Cthulhu Mythos creatures.[1]
Background[]
Amaterasu is a Sun Goddess, whose manifestation is that of a luminescent Japanese woman of unfathomable beauty. She is dressed in a dazzling white kimono. The ancient island civilization of Mu worshiped her.
