The H.P. Lovecraft Wiki

This subject is written on a topic in the real world and reflects factual information. Barry Eric Odell Pain (28 September 1864 – 5 May 1928) was a British author and journalist active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, perhaps most famous for his work on the now-defunct satirical magazine Punch. His 1911 novel An Exchange of Souls, published by Eveleigh Nash, has been suggested as an inspiration for H. P. Lovecraft's short story "The Thing on the Doorstep". The book was reprinted in May 2007 by indie publisher Hippocampus Press as part of Lovecraft's Library, a series focusing stories which Lovecraft was known to have read and admired [1].
