This subject contains information from the "Lovecraft Circle" Myth Cycles, and while guided by HPL are not based on his work alone. This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. The Black Lotus is a mysterious plant with hallucinogenic and esoteric properties. It was notably cultivated in ancient Xuthal (CIRCLE: "The Slithering Shadow", Robert E. Howard). and before that in Acheron and Stygia (EXP: "Dreams of the Black Lotus", Lin Carter). It is still grown by the Tcho-Tcho People on the Plateau of Sung (EXP: "Dope War of the Black Tong", Robert M. Price).
