The Bodhisattva are entities who have refrained from reaching full enlightenment and therefore ascending to Nirvana, so they can assist other mortals in becoming enlightened. They are the messengers of Lord Buddha, carrying out his will. Each of them has its own particular promise or concern on which it focuses its energies. They have a 99% understanding of how the universe works, and therefore have great power.

Bodhisattva manifest in consecrated temples to those whom have fasted or meditated for hours, and appear as shining beings of golden plasma energy who usually tower over mortals. Depending on the natural inclination of the supplicant is the gender it takes, and usually as they are rendered in paintings or statues. In its manifestation, supplicants see their own truth, therefore they may confuse the being with something from their belief system (e.g. angels).
