Bride of Re-Animator is a 1990 comedy horror film and the second in Brian Yuzna's Re-Animator series. Like its predecessor, it is (very) loosely based on Howard Phillips Lovecraft's short story "Herbert West-Reanimator".
Synopsis[]
The two male leads of the previous film, Doctors West and Cain, attempt to construct a body to resurrect Cain's deceased fiancée. Predictably, things go horribly wrong, and a horde of zombies and dismembered body parts attack, burying West in an old crypt and presumably killing him.
Behind the Mythos[]
Produced and directed by Brian Yuzna, who also had a hand in the screenplay, Bride of Re-Animator starred Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Abbot and David Gale, who reprised their roles from the first movie. It ran to a total of 96 minutes, and was filmed on a budget of $2.5 million.
