The Brood of Ubbo-Sathla are a fictional race created by Chaosium in 1994 for its Call of Cthulhu RPG, which were based on Clark Ashton Smith's "Ubbo-Sathla".
Background[]
The Brood of Ubbo-Sathla are the Outer God's primal spawn which look like giant one-celled creatures, no two of which are alike. They are constantly produced by Ubbo-Sathla's formless mass. Some of them are devoured by their mindless sire, and those that escape fulfill its every urge and desire. These creatures are usually found in its lair and will ambush their targets. Using their gelatinous tentacles, sticky filaments, etc to draw the victim into their body where it's digested.
