Lovecraft's works directly. Caligo Accedendum Tournament: An Adventure for Cthulhu Dark Ages is a scenario supplement for Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game.

Caligo Accedendum Tournament consists of three stand-alone adventures along with all of the necessary handouts and a set of pre-generated investigators to allow for quick-start games.

  • "Island of the Damned" by Michael Patty, in which Vikings fall prey to the entities of the Cthulhu Mythos.
  • "Risam Vellere" by Deanne P. Goodwin, involves the deciphering of an ancient grimoire.
  • "The Innocent" by Bob Geis, a human-interest story based within the Mythos.

Behind the Mythos

The scenarios contained in Caligo Accedendum Tournament were first used for demonstration games at traditional gaming convention Gen Con 2004. It was published by Chaosium as part of their Monograph series of supplements in both print and digital formats, but both versions are currently unavailable.

  • The Latin portion of the title roughly translates as "the approaching darkness".
