Casefile: Arkham- Her Blood Runs Cold is a 2018 graphic novel written by Josh Finney, illustrated by Patrick McEvoy and edited by Kat Rocha. It is a reimagining of H. P. Lovecraft's "The Thing on the Doorstep", but aside from character names little remains faithful to the original.
Synopsis[]
Asenath Waite hires private investigator Hank Flynn on the pretext of having him track down a manuscript belonging to her dead husband, Edward Pickman Derby. However, she is actually using him to track down those responsible for her husband's death and as a weapon in her battle against her father's newly-embodied spirit. Once Flynn realises his role as little other than a pawn in her schemes, he walks away from the case, while his girlfriend Glynda exposes Asenath and her father to the tabloid press.
A subplot explaining Glynda's backstory is also present, but has little bearing on the main storyline.
