Synopsis[]

The story begins with Principal Skinner punishing Bart and his friend Milhouse by forcing them to catalogue all the books in the school's abandoned old library, leading to Bart finding a copy of the Necronomicon. Taking the book back home, Bart explains to Milhouse that it can be used to summon the Great Old Ones to do his bidding and recites the chant "Yog-Sothoth Demonicus Cthulhu". Meanwhile, Homer was washing his face in the bathroom until one of Cthulhu's tentacles clogs the sink faucet. At first, Bart uses Cthulhu to get revenge on his enemies, such as killing Skinner and some bullies. Shortly afterwards, Cthulhu goes out of control and starts eating everyone throughout the town. Fearing that it will be the end of the world, Bart and Milhouse go back to the Necronomicon to find a way to stop it. Unfortunately, Santa's Little Helper eats the only page that can banish Cthulhu back to where it came from, leading to Bart getting knocked out by its tentacle. Shortly afterwards, Bart wakes up, assuming that it was all just a dream. However, this turns out to be not the case, as it's revealed that the entire Simpson family had been transformed into Lovecraftian monsters, including Bart himself.
