This subject is written on a topic in the real world and reflects factual information. This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. Cthulhu Dark Ages: The Abbey is a supplement for Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu offshoot Cthulhu Dark Ages.

Overview[]

Split into three sections, The Abbey contains background allowing Keepers to run games in medieval France. The first section provides information on St. Bartholomew's Abbey, a pregenerated backdrop in southeast France of 982AD; section two takes a look at France during the period, giving some flavour for the region at the time; the final section offers a look at the priestly Order of St. Jerome, a set of non-player characters for investigators to interact with.

The Abbey was written by Michael Patty.

Publication History[]

First released as physical work in February 2004, The Abbey has since gone out of print but is still available as a digital (PDF) download on Chaosium's website.
