Curse of the Crimson Altar is a 1968 British horror film from director Vernon Sewell and starring legendary horror actors Christopher Lee and Boris Karloff. It was loosely based on H. P. Lovecraft's "The Dreams in the Witch-House", although the studio did not acknowledge this fact.
Released in the United Kingdom in December 1968, it made its debut in the United States in April 1970 under the title The Crimson Cult.
