Cybil is a hero in the fictional Army of Darkness universe who was created in 2009 by Mike Raicht. She first appeared in issue #22 of the 2nd volume of Army of Darkness by Dynamite Entertainment.

Background

Cybil is a woman who was adopted as a child and in her early teens became possessed by a demon which used her as a gateway for other demonic spirits. Which escaped hell and possessed others in her community. She was incarcerated in an aslyum along with the other possessed patients. Ash Williams and the werewolf Brad searching for the Protectors of the world, identified her as one of them. They were able to free her and the others from demonic possession.

Cybil joined them in their mission to find other Protectors, becoming a member of the League of Light. Alongside her fellow superheroes, she fought the forces of the Necronomicon. Having failed to prevent the Apocalypse and the end of mankind, the team built a time machine to send two members back in time (Cybil and Brad) with Ash's spirit. They were successful in preventing the possession of Ash by Hell's Prophet thereby altering the timeline. Cybil and Brad disappeared, and the new timeline's Cybil was freed of her demon and the asylum years earlier by this timeline's Brad.
