The Darkness is an Outer God, and the progenitor of Shub-Niggurath. It is the corrupter of Azathoth. The Darkness is not just a lack of illumination but is a monster made of negativity that wishes to cause complete chaos and destruction. Besides being older than nearly everything, it is almost a completely unknown deity, besides the information from past religions.
