The Darkness is an Outer God, and the progenitor of Shub-Niggurath.

The Elder God equivalent of Darkness is Enlil.

Darkness has no true form, and can assume any form he desires. Technically Darkness does have a true form but he is made completely out of Dark Energy.

Darkness had an affair with his brother, Nyarlathotep's wife Yhoundeh, twice, each time it birthed it birthed one of his fifty children. The ones birthed by Yhoundeh are Dagda and Shub-Niggurath.

Whenever Darkness is called from the realm he resides in, he commonly assumes the form of a titanic, black, horned, winged dragon.

Darkness is known to make pacts with random Humans.

Darkness could be the twin brother of the Nameless Mist.
