David E. Schultz has been a Lovecraft scholar for several decades. His contributions include a critique of spurious quotes attributed to H. P. Lovecraft as well as writing and co-editing scholarly compilations of Lovecraft's letters and other nonfiction compositions together with S. T. Joshi. Schultz is also a technical editor for an environmental engineering firm in Milwaukee.
