Rimel, is a series of sonnets that were much admired by H.P. Lovecraft; they were first published in the June 1934 issue of The Fantasy Fan. In an uncredited revision of the poem, Lovecraft changed the title, noting that the original name "Yid" accidentally was a derogatory name for Jewish people. The poem cycle is the first mention of the fictional planet Yith, which Lovecraft adopted as the home planet of his Great Race of Yith in The Shadow Out of Time.
