Dylan Murphy is the primary human antagonist in Keyport Cthulhu, the first book in Armand Rosamilia's Keyport Cthulhu story cycle.
Description[]
A bald, heavyset man, Dylan has a mean temper. He is the head of the Keyport branch of the Esoteric Order of Dagon and the eldest son of his family, at least the ninth to take the name of Dylan Murphy. He owns the Broad Street Pub, the de facto headquarters of the Order.
Dylan may or may not be a human/Deep One hybrid; his appearance is suggestive of such ancestry, but his contempt for the deformities present in others of this kind suggests otherwise.
History[]
While growing up, Dylan saw the mistakes that his forbears had made in their attempts to awaken great Cthulhu, and new that he could do better.
As an adult, he made the same mistakes as the others, but eventually found a woman whom he believed would make the perfect sacrifice. Unfortunately, his attempt to enact the ritual met with failure, and he died in Tina's place, killed by the former biker known only as Bones.
