𝓦𝐓 Edmond Moore Hamilton (21 October 1904-1 February 1977) was a prolific American science fiction, horror, and fantasy author active throughout the middle of the 20th century [1]. He was one of the most frequent contributors to pulp magazine Weird Tales, having a total of 79 of his stories published within its pages. In addition to his prose work, Hamilton also wrote early stories for comic book superhero properties such as Superman and Batman [2].
Hamilton's first published short story "The Monster-God of Mamurth" (Weird Tales, August 1926) was cited by author Kenneth Sterling as at least a partial inspiration for his original draft of "In the Walls of Eryx," before it was presented to H. P. Lovecraft for revision[3].
