Lovecraft's works directly. Fall of Cthulhu is a long-running Cthulhu Mythos comic book series written by Michael Alan Nelson. The first issue was published by Boom! Studios in 2007, with the first story arc running for 15 issues, later collected into three volumes. Since then, three four-issue miniseries have been released (Godwar, 2008; Apocalypse, 2009; and Nemesis, 2010). Additionally, a limited series and ongoing series, both titled Hexed, have been spun off from the original comic.

In 2015, the complete series was collected into an omnibus edition, although the spin-off series were not included.

Overview[]

Fall of Cthulhu tells a tale in which the Outer God Nyarlathotep orchestrates an apocalyptic war between the Elder Gods and Great Old Ones. Many Mythos entities are referenced or make appearances, and the Dreamlands plays a significant role in the storyline.
