Description[]

The Tree-Men were the unfortunate victims of an evil undead being named M'bwa, an entity in service to the alien God of the Red Flux.

Those who strayed into the valley occupied by M'bwa were accosted by the long-dead yet still animate creature who, by virtue of his dark magic, was invulnerable to harm. He quickly overpowered these poor souls before forcing them to drink an elixir which would allow him to work on them uninterrupted, amputating their legs and grafting what remained onto the stumps of trees. These living humans would then slowly transform into trees, serving as a macabre warning to others.

The sole survivor of this process, a man named Daniel Richards, forever after had to have the saplings which sprouted from the stumps of his legs trimmed on a monthly basis.
