The Chaos Wastes are the northern part of the world where for aeons, ever since the collapse of the Old One's Warp Gates, the Immaterium has been bleeding into the material world. It has claimed much of the great Northern Steppes and all of Norsca, corrupting the lands with the warping energies of the Immaterium. Among the vicious Kurgan, Hung, and Northmen of the lands, the physical mutations brought about by it is common and accepted as gift by the Chaos Gods.
