🐙 Dagon is a Lovecraftian extra-dimensional entity from the fictional universe of the Ben 10 animated television series. Despite its name being taken from that of Dagon, it is clearly more closely based on Cthulhu.
Background[]
Dagon is a demonic entity from another dimension, an interdimensional conqueror who has conquered 100 dimensions. Its true form resembles that of a giant octopus with the face being mostly covered by brownish armor and its red eyes being framed by hooked projections. It has other forms including one of a giant serpentine octopus with a gigantic tentacle coming out of its back like a tail and another form in which it manifests itself as a huge dragon, complete with claws and wings. Its dragon form battled Sir George in ancient times, before he defeated it by cutting its heart out with the sword Ascalon and banishing Dagon to its home dimension.
As it is a being whose substance consists of power, it sees itself as a god who has the right to rule all other lifeforms, making him not only power hungry but arrogant, talking down to others and seeing most as nuisances at best. He does possess some honor, but only when dealing with the strong and likewise respects those with power. With a heart that possesses the power to reshape a universe, he is a nigh-omnipotent being. Among his powers are super strength, levitation, shapeshifting, weather control, breathing fire, optical laser beams, regeneration, teleportation, power bestowal, and transforming others. It can dominate others via mind control, resurrect the dead, and is knowledgeable when it comes to magic. Serving it are the Lucubra and, for a time, the galactic warlord Vilgax. As a supernatural entity, it is bound by the rules of magic.
Lucubra[]
The Lucubra are animalistic creatures from Dagon's world that somewhat resemble lizards, who have a gelatinous body that is greyish green and whose faces have reddish teeth-like markings. They use their tentacles to feed off their victim's thoughts and to communicate with others. Once a person has been fed upon, they become their mindless servants which the Lucubra can send telepathic commands to. Lucubra are able to crawl up walls, have enhanced strength and agility, fire optical laser beams, and are immune to radiation. They vary in size, with the smallest being the size of a large dog and the largest being much larger than a human.
