Damballah is a fictional character from Marvel Comics. He was created in 1975 by Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, and John Buscema and Made his first appearance in issue #152 of the 1st volume of the Avengers comic book series.

Damballah, is the offspring of the Elder God Set. He had worshipers in Zembabwei during the Hyborian Age and in modern day Haiti. When in spirit form, Damballah can travel to Earth where it manifests as a humanoid serpent or a huge snake. It is able to possess serpents and transforms them into versions of its form, and is also able to control snakes. It is able to possess or control others, even those with training in the mystical arts.
