Fthaggua, The King Regent of the Fire Vampires is an entity that appears in Donald Wandrei's short story The Fire Vampires.
Appearance
Fthaggua appears as a great flickering ball of cold blue flame.
Conceptual information and role
Fthaggua lives with his servants, the Fire Vampires, inside a huge building on the surface of the blue comet Ktynga, a celestial body that Fthaggua can conduct through the cosmos and that possesses many strange properties, including the incredible heat that it radiates o the fact that it can exceed the speed of light. It is said that it will reach planet Earth in four hundred years.
Likewise, Fthaggua is the High Priest of the Great Old One Cthugha and, given his nature, could even be his descendant. However, this has yet to be confirmed.
