George T. Wetzel (1 June 1921 - 10 November 1983) was an American author, editor and early Howard Phillips Lovecraft scholar who wrote a number of works on both Lovecraft's works and his personal life. He also edited several collections of non-fiction on these subjects [1].
Wetzel has been reported as having been a member of the Esoteric Order of Dagon amateur press association, and is reputed to have been something of a "difficult character," having allegedly sent malicious letters to the employers of those he took a dislike to [2].
