This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. Ghadamon is a bluish-brown larval Great Old One made of slime that lives in the stagnant Underworld Sterile Lake east of the Fungus Forest with a colony of its minions.

Description[edit | edit source]

A series of deformed heads can be seen floating and peering from within its form. Its long tentacles give it limited movement over ground by pulling itself along on nearby objects. It emits and absorbs a mix of noxious gas and slime through an ever shifting cycle of pustules and orifices.

Followers and beliefs[edit | edit source]

Despite having no established cult, its attempted incursion into the waking world was supported by the Deep Ones. He is referenced in the Book of Eibon as a creature "...spawned on the flesh of human brains and secreted beneath a great lake in a fearsome world of darkness where it would lie for eternal ages, feeding, growing, and waiting. This man did claim that Ghadamon is coming and coming soon."

The grimoire of an unnamed sorceress prophesies that in the lake "...Ghadamon shall lie until one shall come for him and Ghadamon shall pass into another realm and there take his place beneath the sea, to grow and wait for the Day. On this day He Who Waits to Spawn will leave his nest and find his terrible cold mate who has awaited him forever. These days, when the Beast shall rampage and dark R'lyeh rise from its watery crypt will see the passage of great Cthulhu..."

Minion of Ghadamon[edit | edit source]

Ghadamon's minions are large black cone-like fish with huge jaws and heads that taper back sharply to a narrow snake-like tail. They are 3-4 feet long and have staring yellow eyes that stare horribly. Eating one of the pale-blue, purple veined mushrooms that grow by the lake allows one to enter the lake unharmed by the creatures.
