The Gharoides are parasitic insectoid servants of Kaalut which they worship in K'gil'mnon.
Overview[]
Gharoides are small, carnivorous creatures with three eyes, three fur-covered antennae and a long proboscis. They secrete a deadly venom, and lay their eggs in a living host to provide a food source for the hatchlings.
Their only known appearance to date is in the short story "Genuine Article" by J. B. Lee in which a Christian evangelical, Shana McEwan, summons one to murder a New Age bookseller. However, there is a clear reference to the Gharoide in the line "Kaalut and it’s swarming insect servants" from Lee's short story "His Hour Upon the Stage".
