Ghaszaszh Nyirh is a fictional character in the Marvel universe which first appeared in 1987 in issue #9 of the 2nd volume of the Strange Tales comic book series.

Background[]

When the mystical barriers protecting Earth from the Old Ones weakened, GHaszaszh Nyirh set up shop in a famine stricken part of Africa. There, he ruled as a god, providing the starving locals with food and warping their bodies. The price for his help was human sacrifices and surrendering their souls to him.

His temple was made of living flesh. It could fire mystical optical energy blasts with pinpoint accuracy, could change form, and had the the ability to create (create what?). Dr. Strange confronted the entity, and was successful in banishing him.
