Glynda (second name undisclosed) is a fictional character created by Josh Finney for his Casefile: Arkham Mythos stories. She made her first appearance in the 2016 graphic novel Casefile: Arkham- Nightmare on the Canvas.

Description[]

Glynda is a beautiful woman of indeterminate age whose body has been modified by the Outer God Shub-Niggurath to make her more appealing to the opposite sex. She owns and operates a shop named Rare Books which deals in antique books, and has a sideline in occult writings. She is currently in a relationship with private eye Hank Flynn.

As a former devotee of Shub-Niggurath, Glynda possesses certain magical powers, and her abilities specialise in protective invocations.

History[]

Given by her mother to the service of Shub-Niggurath at a young age, Glynda underwent a mystical transformation at the hands of her god which was intended to give her physical characteristics desirable to men. She was then sent out into the world under orders to seduce and have children with as many men as possible; these children were then sacrificed as a blood offering to the Black Goat.

Despairing of this life, Glynda invoked the power of the Elder God Nodens, with whose aid she was able to break ties with Shub-Niggurath, and left her service to lead a more mundane life.

Eventually, Glynda came to Arkham where she established Rare Books and met Hank Flynn, with whom she fell in love and began a relationship. Since then, she has assisted Flynn with his more mystically-inclined cases, and has likely even saved his life during their acquaintance.
