Glyph (real name unknown) is a primary character and main protagonist in Ian Davey's Bh'Yhlun series. She made her first appearance in "An Incarceration in Bh'Yhlun," published in the September 1997 edition of Edward P. Berglund's online fanzine Nightscapes.
Description[]
A 13-year-old British girl, Glyph found herself orphaned in the aftermath of the coming of Bh'Yhlun. She has spent the time since then living by any means necessary in the ruins of the world, dodging the various monstrosities which patrol the now-twisted countryside.
History[]
After a brief period of imprisonment in the living tower of Bh'Yhlun, Glyph began the long journey to Glastonbury when some previously-unsuspected magical ability told her that her destiny lay in that ancient place (EXP: "An Incarceration in Bh'Yhlun").
Glyph subsequently joined up with an older couple named Helen and Aaron and, later, a pregnant woman named Lucy who had borne witness to the genesis of this new world. Eventually arriving at Glastonbury, the group were confronted by Stanley Pickman, an avatar of Nyarlathotep. When the Outer God fully manifested, a magical ritual was able to banish it, and restore the world to the way it was before the coming of Bh'Yhlun (EXP: "The Epiphany of Dissolution").
