The Gods of Ragnarok are Great Old Ones created by the BBC in 1988 for Doctor Who.

The Gods of Ragnarok are a trio of Great Old Ones who appear to sentient beings as stone statues. They are entertained by the suffering of others. The Time Lord Rassilon was the one who named them Raag (Father Ragnarok), Nah (Mother Ragnarok), and Rok (Little Girl). He theorized that they created and destroyed numerous universes, even destroying their own. The Gods of Ragnarok kidnap those with individuality and imagination, and force them to entertain them endlessly, demanding bigger and better acts each time. They can fire thunderbolts and create rain, reanimate the dead, manifest simultaneously in different time-phases, and reduce their victims to ashes in a clash of thunder and blinding light.
