This subject contains information from the "Lovecraft Circle" Myth Cycles, and while guided by HPL are not based on his work alone. Goodman Simpson was an undertaker who, according to Jervas Dudley, robbed the recently dead body of Squire Brewster, stealing various articles of clothing before burying him in 1711. Jervas acquired this information from spirits with whom he conversed during one of his nightly visits to a local cemetery.
