The Gray Man is a supernatural character created by American comic book creator Michael Alan Nelson for the Fall of Cthulhu story arc named for the character. The Gray Man made his first appearance in issue #11 of that series in March 2008.
Description[]
A seemingly unkillable creature of unknown origin, the Gray Man manifests as a humanoid male dressed in the manner of a stereotypical Hispanic gangster, complete with tailored suit and Portuguese language. He possesses a ceremonial knife which he prefers to use to kill his victims, but is not necessary for use on mortal beings. However, it has been hinted that this artefact is intended for use against targets far more powerful than mere humans…
History[]
The Gray Man was summoned by persons unknown to kill an unidentified target. Although the young thief Lucifer stole his knife and spirited it away to Arkham, the Gray Man tracked it down and embarked on a murderous rampage in his efforts to retrieve it. Although several civilians and police officers died during the slaughter, Sheriff Raymond Dirk and Lucifer managed to imprison him in one of the Harlot's boxes, saving Arkham, at least for a short while.
