Green is a fictional character created by H. P. Lovecraft, who makes his only appearance in the 1928 short story "The Call of Cthulhu".

Green was the first mate of the Emma of Auburn. En route to Callao, the Emma encountered the heavily armored steam yacht Alert, who ordered the schooner to turn back. Captain Collins refused, leading the Alert to fire upon the Emma using a brass cannon. In retaliation, the crew of the Emma managed to board the Alert and slay all of its members, although Green and Collins were killed in the battle, leaving Second Mate Gustaf Johansen in command of the crew.
