Haiyoru! Nyaruani

Lovecraft's works directly. Haiyoru! Nyaruani is a Japanese series of flash-animated shorts, directed by Azuma Tani and produced by DLE. It is the first anime adaptation of the light novel series Haiyore! Nyaruko-san and was followed by a second season titled Remember My Mr. Lovecraft.

Episodes[]

  1. "Certification": Nyaruko decides to start a Cthulhu certification program, with her series being the examination material. Mahiro gets offended and stabs her with a fork, demanding Nyaruko to apologize to all fans of the Cthulhu Mythos. Afterwards, Nyaruko announces that her series is now in stores and, for a limited time only, will come with suggestive photos of herself and Mahiro, causing him to stab her again.
  2. "Loyalty": Nyaruko gets jealous when her pet Shantak becomes too affectionate towards Mahiro, leading to them having a loyalty test. When the Shantak chooses Mahiro, Nyaruko beats up the creature and holds onto its barely conscious body, proclaiming herself to be the winner.
  3. "Body Pillow": Nyaruko gets a side job where she draws illustrations for body pillows. When Mahiro sees that it's a picture of himself lusting after Nyaruko, he stabs her with a fork and threatens to run her over with a bicycle if she distributes it. Nyaruko tells him that she'll use it for personal use only, leading to her getting stabbed again.
  4. "Dating Sims": Nyaruko plays a dating sim video game called "Lovecraft Plus", which features the heroine making the protagonist fall for her. However, the only thing that actually falls is your sanity points.
  5. "RPG": Nyaruko finds out that Mahiro likes role-playing video games and offers to lend him one that she enjoyed titled "Hainal Fantasy". After explaining the game to him, Mahiro is uninterested in playing it.
  6. "To Be Continued?": Nyaruko and Mahiro host a program where they answer questions regarding their series.
  7. "Cooking": Nyaruko and Mahiro host another program, with this new one being a cooking show.
  8. "Untouchable Sanctuary": The episode begins with Mahiro and Kuuko hanging out on the couch. Despite having no ill will towards her, Mahiro brings up the time Kuuko worked for the evil Nodens at R'lyeh so she can see Nyaruko again and asks why couldn't she use her uncle's connection to the Space Defense Agency instead, as it is the same organization that Nyaruko works for. Kuuko sets the book that Mahiro is reading on fire and threatens him to never talk about it again.
  9. "First Love": While teaching her how to cook, Mahiro asks Kuuko why she likes Nyaruko so much. Kuuko explains that back in Space Kindergarten, she was always forced to be the bad guy while playing pretend, due to her being a Pisces. When she was attacked by a Leo and Scorpio, Nyaruko beat up both of them, leading to Kuuko considering Nyaruko to be her personal hero and falling in love with her. When Mahiro asked Nyaruko about the incident, she stated that there was a fad that involved barging in on kids playing pretend and beating them up, indicating that she had no intentions on saving Kuuko.
