It was made to be a second season for their previous anime, itself based on the light novel series Haiyore! Nyaruko-san.

Episodes[]

  1. "Because I'm Not a Person": Nyaruko wakes up early to prepare some breakfast for Mahiro. However, when her pet Shantak eats some of it instead, Mahiro realizes that it's been spiked. Meanwhile, an unidentified woman is seen with Kuuko.
  2. "Endless Christmas": The woman identifies herself as Atoko, although her true identity is one of the Great Old Ones known as Atlach-Nacha. Mahiro thinks that she seems pretty normal at first but Nyaruko warns him that she's a naughty prankster. Shortly afterwards, Atoko mentions that she was sent here to help Nyaruko with an important mission, one that Mahiro assumes is a very dark secret. After witnessing her degenerate behavior, Mahiro asks if he can punch Atoko.
  3. "To The Market": While going for a walk outside, Atoko asks Kuuko several perverted questions. Despite being rather depraved herself, even Kuuko felt uncomfortable about the situation. Meanwhile, Nyaruko introduces Mahiro to her friend Nyarue, who is an Outer God that used to go to high school with her. Nyarue immediately falls in love with Mahiro before transforming into her true eldritch form due to embarrassment.
  4. "Mahiro, My First Naked Apron!": The episode starts with Nyaruko and Atoko in an elevator, a parody of the famous elevator scene from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Back at home, Mahiro gets angry at Kuuko for feeding some space food to the pet goldfish, which caused it to sprout human legs.
  5. "Nyaruko and Mahiro's Love-Love Hot Spring Trip": Nyaruko and the other girls go to the hot springs, however, Mahiro is alone in the men's bath.
  6. "Buried Alive": Kuuko tries to get a part-time job but is unable to due to her pyrokinesis.
  7. "Mushroom Master": Mahiro goes through Atoko's browsing history to help her find a picture of a dog.
  8. "Content to Be Decided": Nyarue somehow moved the bathroom to the middle of a crowded city, with her trying to give several different explanations for it including protecting Mahiro from Night-gaunts and seeing her make-up free face in the mirror.
  9. "How He Came to Love the Girl Despite Being a Normal High School Student Who Cannot Even Sense in the Slightest That the Universe Is at Risk of Destruction, and Suppresses a Vague Worry That Tomorrow the Sun May Not Rise from the Same Direction or at the Same Speed or Even Shine at the Same Luminance and Follow the Same Orbit": Mahiro gets trapped inside of a virtual reality RPG.
  10. "Content to Be Decided": After some outbreaks of people going missing all over the world, a large rectangular object falls from the sky and crashes into Earth.
  11. "Remember My Love": Nyaruko and co leave for the important mission that was mentioned by Atoko earlier. Mahiro had to stay behind and promises Nyaruko that she can hug him again when they return.
  12. "Just Like a Sequel": After coming home from their mission, Nyaruko explains to Mahiro that the Space Defense Agency decided to use Earthlings to obtain four limited edition figures at the space comic market, so they can create a barrier that will protect the Earth from being annihilated. Furthermore, the large rectangular object from earlier turned out to be a space bus. It's then revealed that Mahiro had to stay behind so he can sign for the packages delivered by the Space Parcel Express. While already angry because no one explained any of this beforehand, Mahiro asks why his memory is still intact, despite all the other Earthlings having been mindwiped. Nyaruko clarifies that it was so that he can fulfill his promise of them hugging each other, causing Mahiro to stab her with a fork.
