"It Hides in the Village" is a short story by Troy Young. It is the fourth instalment of the Nyarlathotep Cycle series of Cthulhu Mythos stories.
Synopsis[]
Joe Mills and Pete Ivalu are dispatched to a small town to investigate the actions of a suspected cult. There, they uncover a sect of Nyarlathotep worshippers, at least three of whom believe themselves to be carrying the children of the Outer God.
At the story's conclusion, the subdued members of the cult are terminated by the agency, all but the pregnant women who are kept heavily sedated for study.
