The Jade Emperor is part of the mythology of Chinese traditional religion (aka, Folk Religion) and is part of the Taoist cosmology. Whom was first used by Chaosium in 2005 for its Call of Cthulhu RPG as an Elder God.

Background

The Jade Emperor is an Elder God who sits on the Jade Throne within the Citadel of the Taoist Immortals. He is at the head of the Taoist court, the personification of Yin (dark) and Yang (light). The cosmic forces which exist in the cosmos. It's an entity of pure Tao, unmanifested reality. He gives breath to all of creation and flows through all life.

An incredibly powerful entity whom follows the "way of achieving action through minimal effort", and therefore he rarely intervenes. Being the embodiment of the cosmic force of probability, he is able to alter probability. He can also restore the balance of the primal life force in any being and bestow immortality.
