This subject is written on a topic in the real world and reflects factual information. This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. Jeffrey "Jeff" Barber is an American games designer and occasional artist who has worked on several Cthulhu Mythos projects through his involvement with third-party content provider Pagan Publishing. Despite his work on Lovecraftian games, he is best known for his science fiction eco-fantasy Blue Planet roleplaying game.

Overview[]

Beginning his career at Pagan Publishing as a member of their volunteer staff [1], during his time there Barber authored several Cthulhu Mythos works, all of which were published through in-house magazine The Unspeakable Oath, with many articles receiving reprints in later years.

When founder John Scott Tynes decided to relocate the company to Seattle, Washington, Barber parted ways with Pagan, moving on to establish his own enterprise, Biohazard Games [2]. This would mark the end of Barber's Cthulhu Mythos publications, although Biohazard would go on to work closely with Fantasy Flight Games, a company with a long history of Mythos output.
