This subject is written on a topic in the real world and reflects factual information. This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. Josh Reynolds is an author and editor who specialises in horror, science fiction and fantasy. Born and raised in South Carolina, United States, Reynolds has since moved to Sheffield, England. He has written over thirty novels and a multitude of shorter works, including several pieces set in the Cthulhu Mythos of H. P. Lovecraft, perhaps most notably a trilogy of novels for Fantasy Flight Games' Arkham Horror Fiction line.

Reynolds' non-Mythos works include tie-in fiction for properties such as Legend of the Five Rings, and extensive writing for Black Library, Games Workshop's fiction imprint for their various Warhammer settings.
