This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. The Khats are a fictional race in the Marvel universe which first appeared in 1986 in issue #77 of the 2nd volume of the Dr. Strange comic book series.

Background[]

The Khats are a race of demonic cat-like beings with claws whose touch caused physical damage. Their touch could also create magical effects including transporting the target to a dimension or transmuting the victim's chemical composition. They knew personal details about their targets, the kind that would get under your skin. Within their own dimension, their mystical power increased. Where they were able to grow in size, create a magical maelstrom, and use telekinetics.
