Overview[]

An evil magician of the Hyperborean age, Koth-Serapis penned the occult script which came to be known as the Black Rituals of Koth-Serapis when alive.

At the moment of his death, he cursed the Vanir warrior Bane to live forever through multiple incarnations until such time as the two could meet again and he could take his revenge upon the savage. However, in the 1930s Bane, now in the form of a Texan man named James Allison, met the sorcerer and defeated him, breaking the curse and earning his final rest.

After Koth-Serapis' death in Hyperborea, he somehow transformed into a colossal worm-like creature which inhabited the Dreamlands and consumed the souls of the dead. How this fits with his confrontation with James Allison in the 1930s is unclear.
