The Lords of Tindalos are a fictional race created by Chaosium in 1995 for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game which were based on Frank Belknap Long's 1984 short story "Gateway to Forever".

Background[]

The Lords of Tindalos are transcendental creatures which are perceived by humans as having wolflike shapes consisting of sharp angular pieces. Existing on higher planes, the lords appear to shift and change both their size and contours, which is due to the various segments popping in and out of space-time.

They have been in conflict with Yog-Sothoth from the beginning of time, as the Lords of Tindalos represent angular time and Yog-Sothoth represents curved time. The Lords of Tindalos have powers over time and space. In battle they use not only their time-space abilities but also their claws, teeth, and tongue.
