Luci Jenifer Inacio Das Neves, who goes by by the name of Lucifer, is a character created by American comic book creator Michael Alan Nelson for the Gray Man story arc of his Mythos series Fall of Cthulhu. She made her first appearance in issue #11 in March 2008.

Description[]

A pretty young woman in her late teens or early twenties, Lucifer lived her early life as an orphan thief on the streets of Brazil. There, she encountered an occultist named Walter McKinley who took her in, making use of her talents as a thief in exchange for food and board. Under his tutelage, she gained a degree of mystical knowledge, including how to use protective wards and travel to the Dreamlands.

As an adult, Lucifer continues to use her talents to combat the supernatural threats which threaten humanity, despite the recent loss of her mentor.

Lucifer has, during the course of her activities, stolen a precious artefact from the supernatural creature known as the Harlot. Although she has been punished for this transgression, she remains in the Harlot's debt.

History[]

After travelling to Arkham in search of McKinley, Lucifer was devastated to discover that her mentor had committed suicide in the face of the horrors which he had witnessed.

After a series of gruesome murders - including those of several Arkham Police Department officers - Lucifer partnered with Sheriff Raymond Dirk to defeat the supernatural perpetrator, a being known as the Gray Man. After a series of adventures in which she confronted one of the Horsemen of Nyarlathotep, travelled to the Dreamlands and met with the Harlot, and faced off against a Cthulhu cult, Lucifer and Dirk were successful in trapping the Gray Man in an inescapable prison.
