Lurking Fear is a low-budget horror film from director C. Courtney Joyner. It is very loosely based on the H. P. Lovecraft short story of the same name.
Synopsis[]
A former criminal and member of the Martense family attempting to recover a stash of stolen money buried in a cemetery finds himself up against a brood of monstrous creatures.

- Horror movie icon Jeffrey Combs is one of the lead actors in Lurking Fear; Combs was also the star of Re-Animator and From Beyond, other films based on Lovecraft's work ("Herbert West--Reanimator" and "From Beyond").
- Fellow horror movie icon Ashley Laurence, the star of the original Hellraiser and co-star of the second film in the sequence (as well as a cameo in the third and supporting actress in the sixth), stars in Lurking Fear.
