Lynn Willis (died January 18, 2013) was an American game designer and writer.
Overview[]
Beginning his career working with Metagaming Concepts, in 1978 Lynn Willis joined Chaosium, the company with which he would make the largest impact on the world of tabletop gaming. Although he worked on several different lines during his time with Chaosium, his contributions to the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game were perhaps his most memorable works. Aside from designing the Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign (one of the most highly praised game expansions of all time) with Larry DiTillio, Willis worked on the design of the fifth and sixth editions of Call of Cthulhu with Sandy Petersen, and took over as line editor for the series after the departure of Keith Herber. He then continued as Chaosium's editor-in-chief from 1998 until 2008, when poor health forced his retirement after more than thirty years with the company.
Lynn Willis died in 2013 after several years suffering from Parkinson's disease.
